Practice under supervision of Nakano - Sensei |
I have practiced Martial arts since 1978. However, I only got to know Shorinji Kempo 15 years ago. At first, it was through reading a translation of the book by So Dosin "What is Shorinji Kempo?". Afterwards, I sought a true teacher of Shorinji Kempo and the possibility to practice at "Kongo Zen So Honzan Shorinji".

I was lucky and all my dreams were realized. In present, I am the official representative of WSKO in Russia and the Branch Master of the Moscow Branch. Life presented me a rare chance to practice Shorinji Kempo with such outstanding Masters as Tsunehiro Arai, Hiromichi Yamasaki, Kazuhiro Kawashima and others.

Why do I practice Shorinji Kempo? Friends and relatives always ask that question. The answer is very simple. Shorinji Kempo is the only Martial art which develops both body and spirit. It is transmitted from heart to heart. This art gives people powerful skills and at the same time it enables us to stay in harmony with ourselves and help all who are in trouble. Can you name any other Martial art which provides all that is mentioned above? As for me - no!
Shorinji Kempo is my live and love! What is more, I am grateful to my first teacher Yukihiro Miyata, my friends (Masanori Sugawara, 6 Dan, Mac Kawashima, 5 Dan, Takashi So, 6 Dan) and to my fortune for giving me the possibility to become a piece of that wonderful "Shorinji Kempo".
