Second San Francisco Bay Area Joint Practice Held at Berkeley Branch

Practicing in Pairs
After a very successful joint practice in August at the Peninsula Branch, several Bay Area Branches decided to hold a second joint practice.

Attending were eighteen kenshi from Mt. Diablo, Peninsula, Defense Language Institute and Berkeley Branches. Dolce Sensei made a special guest appearance, traveling from Ann Arbor Michigan just to attend (actually, the Joint Practice just happened to coincide with a business trip he had planned, but his attendance was flattering just the same). Also in attendance was Weinberg Sensei (formerly at Denver Branch).

The format was similar to the Busen curriculum. During the two hour and fifteen minute practice, training focused on Tennoken and Ryukaken techniques. Mount Diablo Branch Master Hagata Sensei led the instruction.

Kenshi of all ages and skill levels were able to practice with each other and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

We hope to make the San Francisco Bay Joint Practice a regular occurrence.
