The 1st Brazilian version of the Shorinji Kempo Tokuhon
On January 17th, Downtown Porto Alegre branch had a commemorative party to deliver the 1st Brazilian version of the Shorinji Kempo Tokuhon. This book is the result of the diligent effort of Mr. Masao Hama, who took the responsibility to supervise all the process of trans-lation, editing and printing of the Tokuhon.
On this same occasion, we had a birthday party for Izidoro Yamamoto sensei, who is celebrating his 48th year of life, 34 of which dedicated to the practice of Shorinji Kempo. Everyone gathered for these 2 important moments with great joy and happiness.
The general impression of all the kenshi is that the book is an incredible piece of work, very well translated to Brazilian Portuguese, with perfect quality, and high fidelity to its original version.
We wish to express our gratitude to Mr. Hama and to Mr. Antonio Barbosa de Rezende Junior - the translator, for providing us with this version, which will greatly improve the access of the kenshi to the knowledge of Shorinji Kempo.
