Reports from WSKO Branches
Messina Nord Branch, Italy / February 2009
- Contributor: Branch Master Antonio Bertuccelli

For Messina Nord Branch, component of F.I.S.K (Italian Shorinji Kempo Federation), the new year started in the sign of an important anniversary. In fact in the first days of January 2009 it celebrated the 10th anniversary since its foundation.

For this occasion Sensei Antonio Bertuccelli and Branch's Kenshi met in a typical restaurant situated in the district of Messina. Kenshi with their Sensei wanted to do a long excursion through the Santa Lucia's streets and it's historical centre, ancient Greek-Roman town.

Then everybody visited the oldest castle built above the town during the Arabic - Normann domination, successively they went to taste the special local plates.

Sensei Bertuccelli thanked all Kenshi for their presence, love and constant diligence that permitted the Branch to grow up, with a particular thanks to W.S.K.O.'s and F.I.S.K.'s members for the trust, friendship and cooperation showed during these years. In memory of this anniversary Kenshi gave to their Sensei a plate with an incision on surface:

"YOURS PUPILS THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE, YOUR TIME AND YOUR PATIENCE, THAT YOU GIVE US TO GROW US UP IN SHORINJI KEMPO'S SPIRIT. WITH YOUR PASSION AND FIDELITY YOU CONVEY US THE IMPORTANCE TO LIVE HALF FOR YOURSELF AND HALF FOR THE OTHERS."

At the end they cut the cake and toasted to Branch's increase and its development.
