Francisco Javier Gomez Ruiz, Costa del Sol Branch Master, organised a very special & enjoyable day on the 7th February for his kenshis.

Everyone got together to spend a lovely day in the mountains.

Costa del Sol Branch, prepared rucksacks with enough food and drink for the outing & they headed towards the "Sierra de las Nieves" via approved government routes.

They walked through beautiful spots surrounded by protected trees that are not seen everyday in nature.

With snow on top of the mountains the kenshis were able to take fantastic photos.

When they arrived at a lovely part of the valley, Francisco Javier Gomez Ruiz, explained interesting techniques to his pupils, who really enjoyed and benefited from his explanations, and learned the importance of good technique when placing feet on the tatami aswell as on more difficult ground.

Afterwards Montse and Jesus were awarded the certificates of 1st Kyu in beautiful surroundings which made it very memorable.

It was a very special day that brought all the kenshis closer together.
