BLACK BELT AND SHOKEMA INSTRUCTORS DAY IN SHOKEMA BRANCH

Last February the 14th, a black belt and shokema instructor's day took place in the Dojo of Toni Sensei.

Eight kenshis from Malaga attended to this appointment; two Sandan (Juan Garcia and Paco Barranquero), three Nidan (Almudena Melendez, Salvador Garcia and Manuel Zapata) and three Shodan (Juan Lozano, Juan Carlos Carmona and Fernando Diaz).

After a brief free warm up and a few kihon (focused on taen hokey), Sensei Toni started with the advanced techniques, based on self-defence and specifically on neutralizing the opponent with attacking techniques (shikake) and focused on the weak points of the body (kyushos). After several joint techniques, Sensei Toni to splited the class up into levels, and explained different techniques well suited to every single level.

Two hours of training later, we went on to watch several recorded japanese embus, with the aim of learning and getting new ideas for the exhibition of this year in the AMAKO gala, where we have been invited one year more, and where we will take part again too.

After the class, the kenshi Toni Guerrero, better known as "Willo" (the official photographer of Shokema Branch) was accountable to begin the photo session, for getting the ones wich will make up the advertisements of the Embukai in Malaga next June.

And, summarizing, a very fruitful and pleasant evening, carried out in an excellent atmosphere and last, but not least, completed with an also pleasan dinner at Toni Sensei and his wife Beti's home.
