= Shorinji Kempo Batam Island Branch, Riau Islands Province, Indonesia

Batam Island as an industrial city is ones of the top and busiest city in Indonesia, there many factory and giant company from overseas are invested their capital especially in Batam Island and other new growth city in Riau Islands Province. Mostly their activities in shipyard and fabrications, electronics manufacture, oil and gas exploring, tourism and many else.

Batam Island strategically located in the middle of Southest Asia, it's only take 20 km away from Singapore as the second largest international shipping lane passing. Due to the proximity of Singapore about 35 minutes crossing, most of the visitors to Batam Island find that coming by high speed transport ship is the easiest and cheapest way of transport.

Shorinji Kempo Batam Island Branch was established at 1992, by Sp. Agus Tanimoto II-DAN kenshi at once. First practice Shorinji Kempo in Batam Island was at the parking yard of the company that name is BOWATER Campany at Muka Kuning Industrial Park. There are about 400 kenshi who practice Shorinji Kempo at the time.

Shorinji Kempo Riau Island Province General Head Chairperson Sp. Agus Hidajat at the opening ceremonial pledge on the occupancy of Shorinji Kempo National Gashuku which was attended by kenshi from Nangroe Atjeh Darusallam Province, North Sumatera Province, Riau Province and Batam Island.

= I finally got I - DAN grade

Finally I got I - DAN rank after 20 years KYU - I (brown belt) from 1989 to 2009, it is quite too long

= Examiners from Indonesia Shorinji Kempo Federation

There are examiner from Indonesia Shorinji Kempo Federation (PB. PERKEMI), both of them are Sensei Sigit Sajoeto Sensei V-DAN & Agus Tanimoto Sensei V-DAN.

Agus Tanimoto Sensei who was established Shorinji Kempo Batam Island Branch, now he back to Batam island as a Sensei.
