Costa del Sol Branch has taken part in the fair of Cartama (Malaga-Spain) for the last four years.

From the first time that Francisco Javier Gomez Ruiz showed what is the Shorinji Kempo in Cartama, people from this town have been grateful to him for it and they have invited him to come at their fair every year.

The last April, Francisco Javier Gomez Ruiz, Costa del Sol Branch Master, received the invitation for this year to carry out an exhibition which could show the wonders of Shorinji Kempo to the audience.

Costa del Sol Branch Master encouraged all his kenshis to prepare embus that they could show in the fair.

Costa del Sol Branch Master taught his kenshis to work together with excitement, companionship and effort. Also he taught them the discipline to carry out the necessary training sessions.

Costa del Sol Branch Master designed a complete exhibition, including assaults with sticks and knives to show the audience that the Shorinji Kempo is effective for self-defense, or specific embus to show the perfection and beauty of these techniques.

The day of the exhibition all the kenshis were nervous about everything went well. After 25 minutes of exhibition, the audience clap a lot and shouted "Well done! Excellent! One more, one more!..." It was exciting.

After several weeks of training, tiredness, effort, commitment and dedication...all this work performed on the dojo was showed to the audience and appreciated by them.
