BSKF Summer Training Camp 2003 at Teikyo School (August 29th - 31st 2003)
This year the BSKF hosted the summer training camp and International seminar in the beautiful grounds of Teikyo School in Slough just outside of London.
The 2 day event was well attended by 136 participants from all over Britain, Sweden and Japan including the 8 instructors. We were privileged to have the special instruction of Fuijmoto Sensei, 8th dan, WSKO instructor and WSKO board member, Yoshinaga Sensei, 6th dan branch master from Kobe as well as Anders Pettersson Sensei, 5th dan and head of the Swedish Federation.

The official training took place from 9am to 5:30pm for both days. Each day began with chinkon-gyo and then kihon techniques concentrating on both goho and juho waza. There was an optional 6:45am exercise session for those managed to get up after the evening's events.
The instructors which included branch masters from all around the UK as well as a busen academy student, rotated around the hall teaching all the individual grades which allowed for a varied and intensive learning experience.

Saturday afternoon training was enjoyed outside in the sun as Fujimoto Sensei gave critical advise on how to develop embu demonstations. This was followed by a personal insight on how Shorinji Kempo has been beneficial for Fujimoto Sensei in the howa session.

After an evening of fun and games, Sunday morning began in the same way. The afternoon was concentrated on gentei randori and to finish a seiho demonstration.
All those who were grading passed with flying colours which summarized a truly fantastic summer training seminar.
Many thanks to Fujimoto Sensei, Yoshinaga Sensei and Anders Sensei for making the effort to come to the UK and sharing your knowledge and experiences. Also many thanks to Mizuno Sensei and all the branch masters around the UK as well as all the administrators who organized a seminar not to be missed.
