Practicing Techniques with IZAWA SENSEI on July 19, 2009

Before attending the Shorinji Kempo events in Bali, IZAWA Sensei from Japan came over to share his master knowledge and perfect techniques to all Kenshi in Batam Island, West Indonesia. He spent few days in Batam Island.

Batam, which is only 20 km away from Singapore, can be easily reached by regular Ferry Transportation Services and it takes 35 - 40 minutes from Jetty to jetty.

We are very pleased to accept any visitors from Hombu or Kenshi from any other Countries who happen to come to Singapore to visit also Batam Island. Especially during the program that has been launched by the local Government of with the motto, "VISIT BATAM 2010, Experience it"

With the current status of Free Trade Zone area, Batam Island is known as an Industrial City, Shipyard Fabrication, and Tourist destination in this west part of Indonesia.

There are many factories and a lot of Multi National Companies from overseas whom put their investment in Batam Island and surrounding island.

The major investment are in Shipyard Fabrication & Repair, Electronics Manufacture, Oil and Gas explorations, Tourism, and many more.
