44th PERKEMI (Indonesian Shorinji Kempo Federation) Anniversary.
PERKEMI (Indonesian Shorinji Kempo Federation) recently commemorated its 44th founding day on February 2nd, 2010.
Located at the House of Sidhartha Sensei in Jakarta. Indra Sensei cut the birthday cake followed by a birthday song from Kenshi and then they prayed together.
Present on the occasion are Indra Sensei, Sidhartha Sensei, Nilo Sensei, Kusumo Sensei and also some senior Kenshi such as Garuda Zainudin, Hans Pohan, Henry Soselisa, Rudy Manopo, Ferry AM and some Kenshi from West Java Branch led by Gofy Handikawati.
Perkemi was founded on February 2, 1966 in Jakarta by Indra Sensei, Ginanjar Sensei and Utin Sahraz Sensei. For 44 years it has been 400.000 people in Indonesia become PERKEMI members which are scattered in islands throughout Indonesia.
At least there are 31 Branches registered to PERKEMI such as Nangroe Aceh Darussalam, North Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, West Sumatra, Bengkulu, South Sumatra, Jambi, Lampung, DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java, West Kalimantan,East Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Bali, West Nusatenggara, East Nusatenggara,The Molucas Islands, Papua, West Papua.
