Training Camp and National Embukai Almeria 2010. (Spain)

On 10 and 11 April was held in the city of Almeria a Training Camp and National Embukai Almeria 2010.

This event was organized by Almeria Branch in collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Shorinji Kempo (FESK) and His Excellency. Patronato Municipal de Deportes of Almeria.

The Training Camp was taught and directed by Master Sensei Aosaka kenshis and attended by nearly 140 kenshis from all over Spain, including some who came from outside our borders.

The course lasted all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Each session had many hours of intense practice.

Sensei Aosaka kenshis shared with all his vast knowledge on technical aspects of Shorinji Kempo. Taught how to improve the practice of Randori Goho and Juho and how to work an Embu. Showed valuable details on each of the many techniques we practice, and also spoke extensively on issues related to the philosophy of Shorinji Kempo.

On Saturday night there was a pleasant dinner-together with everyone at the Training Camp.

On Sunday afternoon was held on National Embukai. About 80 children participated in both the racing department and in the demonstration, which together with the adults kenshis totalling more than a hundred participants.

All participants received a prize Embukai solidarity in favour of Coconut Water Foundation, which focuses its efforts on children in poor countries like Cambodia, Brazil and Madagascar. Directed by the responsible raising and with its own stand, the Foundation also had the opportunity to publicize the important work being done.

From Almeria Branch would like to thank the Spanish Federation of Shorinji Kempo and the Patronato Municipal de Deportes de Almeria their invaluable support.

We also shift our kenshis thanks to all who participated and shared these days with us.

And of course, thank Sensei Aosaka his tireless work in teaching Shorinji Kempo.
