Shorinji Kempo Group
Reports from WSKO Branches
Hanoi Branch, Vietnam / September 2011
- Contributor: Kazuo Sato, Branch Coach

Senior kenshi teaching yori nuki
Hanoi Branch meets twice a week at a gym owned by the government. Around 15 kenshi are regularly practicing. More than half of them are new members, taught by the senior members who have practiced 3 years or more.

Other martial art groups including karate, Taekwondo, judo, aikido, Vietnam kung-fu, are meeting in the same gym, therefore our group have some members who had trained in other martial arts.

After one and half hour's practice, the new and senior members go to a tea place in front of the gym for more communication through chatting about Shorinji Kempo as well as various other things in their lives.

We sometimes have visitors from the branches of Shorinji Kempo in other countries on their visit to Hanoi, making the daily practice more international.
