North Italian Branches / Jan 2004 Contributor: Maurizio Carugati, President of the Italian Federation

In the day of December the 13th 2003 in Milan has been held the second Shorinji Kempo celebration reserved to the North Italian area Branches.

The event has been performed in a theatre/auditorium, where the demo team proposed several demonstrations assisted by choreography and music that contributed to create a good atmosphere with the partecipation of the public in the theatre.

The demonstration covered several Shorinji Kempo practice aspects: Hokey, Kumi Embu, Goho and Juho Randori.
Furthermore there have been collected founds devolved to A.M.R.E.F., an association helping african children with problems for the ill and the hungry related conditions.

After the demonstration every Branch made its own little demonstration with students of every rank.
The evening ended with a rich dinner offered to everyone assisted to the event.

The overall performance has had a good success either for the number of persons who joined the theatre to assist the performance that for their satisfaction for the event itself, furthermore it has been an occasion to explain what is the Shorinji Kempo and the principles upon which the discipline is based.

There has been the very appreciated performance of Sensei Maehara Masaki 7th dan Branch Master of Tholworth Branch belonging to the United Kingdom Shorinji Kempo Federation.
At the end everybody booked an appointment for the next 3�‹ Milano Branch
Shorinji Kempo 2004 celebration.
