Preparing for practice

Indonesia Federation National Gashuku Region IV in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, was held for 3 days from Friday 31st July to Sunday 1st August 2004 attended by 83 kenshi from East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara.

The two Instructors from the Indonesia Federation were Henry Soselisa (Junhanshi 7th dan and Garuda Zainudin (Dai Kenshi 5th Dan) and Ruddy Budi Manopo Indonesia Federation Secretary General (3rd Dan) who joined in this Gasshuku and to install the New Board Members in Shorinji Kempo West Nusa Tenggara.

In this gasshuku not only upgrading the techniques but also 1st Kyu and Dan grading exams from 1st Kyu to 2nd Dan were conducted by examiners with the two instructors from the Indonesia SKF.

The exam for 1st Kyu was applied by 6 kenshi, 1st Dan by 36 kenshi and 2nd Dan by 26 Kenshi and all of them passed the exam.

At the Closing Ceremony Ruddy Budi Manopo, Secretary General of the Indonesia Shorinji Kempo Federation, installed a new board members of the Shorinji Kempo West Nusa Tenggara







After the closing ceremony, the kenshi who passed the grading test must go through the mental training, because the higher the ranks become, the bigger responsibility they have. They must sit-ups and push-ups, etc.
