1. Resume
Began at the Meiji University Shorinji Kempo club. Manages Misaki Doin, and Nanyo Ikata Branch. Since 1967, he has continued the Doin for approximately 35 years.
2. Philosophy, etc.
Kaiso's teaching shook my heart, and I was shocked by the intricacies of the techniques. So with my young blood set aboil from sheer attraction to Shorinji Kempo since my early 20s, somehow I've been sharing fellowship with overseas kenshi.
Early on we formed a local organization of neighboring doin and called it the Nanyo Federation Council. In addition to forming a circle for cultivating our core members, we began fellowship with Indonesia, and with the desire to invigorate local life, we proceeded with activities for enriching the towns and villages. We've reaped quite a harvest of results.
Our goal was first to achieve further growth in Shorinji Kempo within the region, to provide for the qualitative improvement of our kenshi, and to cultivate excellent successors to ourselves for the region.
Also, I hope earnestly that the Asian Taikai (in Bali) planned for August 2003 will be a grand success. Also, I would like to express my hope that WSKO and the overseas branches keep working based on Kaiso's thoughts expressed in the preamble to the bylaws to gain mutual understanding and action and achieve greater and greater expansion and development.
3. It is said that everyone who is working to make people happy is both a fortunate and a superior person.
"In every life there are three unavoidable situations: situations of struggle, back against the wall situations, and situations of decisive action."
"Kill the self and do the task." At home, in school, in society, in the hospital, for the nation, in that place where the self resides, kill the self and do the task; it's only because you protect the little self that you get stuck. (Understand the truth of killing the self and living.) This is from Shizuka Gotoh's "Ken'i" [Authority]
I always keep this phrase nearby to remind myself: "The truth of standing independently and living together."
If you get serious, then a way will always open for you - this is an article of faith for me.
