Spring Training Camp at Headquarters, Week B

Week B of the Shorinji Kempo Headquarters Spring Training Camp was held for 4 days from March 6-9, 2007, attended by 526 Kenshi from 41 university branches in Japan, and one from Ukraine. Twelve instructors taught the participants in the camp. One third of the students were girls.









On the third day of the camp, Mr. Tsunehiro Arai, President of Japan's Shorinji Kempo Federation, gave a lecture to all the participants at Rensei Dojo. He encouraged the university students to think about the relationship with other people and encourage deepening friendship with each other. He also talked about the mindset the members should have when learning, and gave examples by showing his techniques. His enthusiastic explanations drew the young members' attention, while occasionally inducing laughter with his humor.
