Shorinji Kempo European Taikai "Italia 2007" was held in Norcia, Italy, for three days from June 22 to 24, 2007, attended by Yuuki So, President of the World Shorinji Kempo Organization.

The participants of the event was more than 600 from 13 countries, namely, Italy, Finland, France, Germany, U.K., Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Swiss, Russia, Ukraine, Argentine, and Japan.

The Taikai was the biggest festivity in Europe, started with the opening ceremony held in the evening of June 22, closing with the closing ceremony in the evening of June 24. During this three day event, there were embu Taikai, practice session, as well as other evening activities to promote friendship.
The city of Norcia, the event site, is a summer resort with beautiful stone pavement surrounded by castle walls, and three hour's drive from Rome. Through the efforts of the Italian Federation, the Taikai was fully cooperated by the city of Norcia. The central square of the city was used for the opening and closing ceremonies.
Collected contributions during the Taikai were donated to the "Sol Mansi" a group supporting African countries in need.
