FY2007 Spring Training Camp at Headquarters, Week A

Week A of the Shorinji Kempo Headquarters Spring Training Camp was held for 4 days from February 26 to 29, 2008, attended by 393 Kenshi from 29 university branches in Japan. Twenty-two instructors taught the participants in the camp.

Each camp week consists of 4 days. During the camp, participants do "samu" from 8:30, then gather in Hondo for chinkon-gyo, followed by kihon, techniques in groups divided by the ranks, philosophy lectures. All the students join samu again in each dojo at the end of the day.

Mr. Shofukutei Tsurube, one of the Japan's most popular rakugo storytellers, visits small towns around Japan in a popular weekly TV show. He and his crew visited Hombu with Mr. Michitaka Tsutsui, Japan's popular actor, to be on the air in Japan in April, while Instructor Hiromichi Yamasaki was giving a lecture to students, giving them a big surprise.
