Shorinji Kempo Summer Training Camp at Headquarters, Week A

Week A of the Shorinji Kempo Headquarters Summer Training Camp was held for 4 days from July 19 to August 1, 2008,, attended by 25 Japanese university students, one from Canada, 12 from Spain, 2 from Finland. Due to the exam season at many Japanese universities, this camp week were attended by a small number of Japanese students than usual, but offered easier atmosphere for friendship among the participants.

Mr. John Dadosky from Canada's Toronto Branch attended the camp for the second time, after visiting Korea to give lectures as a university professor.





Mr. Timo Maki-Kuutti, Assistant Branch Master of the Jyvaskyla Branch of Finland, brought his beautiful daughter Ms. Kirsi Maki-Kuutti. The temperature in their hometown is 20C, and it was so hard for them to adjust, but said they enjoyed the days in Tadotsu.

Two groups attended from Spain; Shokema Branch and Axarquia Branch. From Shokema Branch were Mr. Antonio Gomez Ruiz (Branch Master), Mr. Francisco Munos Barranguero, Mr. David Padial, Mr. Oscar Munoz, and Mr. Amador Gutierrez. From Axarquia Branch were Mr. Rogelio Casero Abellan (Branch Master), Mr. Carlos Perals Colacio, Mr. Oscar Sanchez Martinez, Mr. Daniel Pena Garcia, Mr. Sergio Bueno Lopez, Ms. Marisa Montejano Sanchez, and Ms. Maria Isabel Perals Colacio.

Even in the heat, everyone worked very hard to absorb the advices given by the senior instructors at hombu, and promised to come back again.
