Shorinji Kempo Spring Training Camp at Headquarters, Week A

Week A of the Shorinji Kempo Headquarters Spring Training Camp was held for 4 days from February 24th to 27th, 2009, attended by 457 Japanese university students, eight from Ukraine and two from France.

Eight Ukrainian kenshi are from three branches; Mr. Danil Migdalsky (Branch Master), Ms. Bobina Tatiana, Mr. Sergey Morenets are from Odessa Kokudai Branch, Mr. Anatoly Misjura (Branch Master) is from Naraen Branch, and Mr. Dmitry Hovansky, Ms. Irina Hovanskaya, Mr. Alexey Epancha, and Mr. Oleg Krotenko are from Kita Odessa Branch.

Mr. Laurent Leguay and Mr. Romain Chancelle are from Viry-Chatillon Branch, France. They participated in a Shorinji Kempo event in Japan for the first time, and enjoyed their stay in Tadotsu and the intensive practice.

Most of the Ukrainian participants are the instructors of their own branches, and made the most of each chance to ask questions to Hombu instructors. Mr. Danil Migdalsky played a vital role for everyone by offering his fluent Japanese language skill and his helpful character.





Six of the Ukrainian participants took the grading test during the camp, and four of them received the 4th Dan certificates, and two of them received the 2nd Dan certificates at the closing ceremony.
