Shorinji Kempo Spring Training Camp at Headquarters, Week B

Week B of the Shorinji Kempo Headquarters Spring Training Camp was held for 4 days from March 3rd to 6th, 2009, attended by 486 Japanese university students, four from Ukraine, one from France, one from Qatar, and 13 from U.K.























Four Ukrainian kenshi from the Kita Odessa Branch, Mr. Dmitry Hovansky(branch master), Ms. Irina Hovanskaya, Mr. Alexey Epancha, and Mr. Oleg Krotenko, staying for their second week.









Mr. Laurent Leguay from Viry-Chatillon Branch, France, also stayed for his second week and met new people.

Mr. Hadi Susilo, Doha Branch Master of Qatar, joined this week. He had a specific purpose for his participation; to learn 5th Dan techniques, as the highest Dan holder in Qatar and enrich the quality of practice at his country branches.

From U.K., 13 members attended. Mr. Adrian Foster-Starr (branch master), Mr. Lee Foreman, Mr. Yasser Ahmed Ibrahim, Mr. Oliver Catford, Mr. Gregory Morris, Mr. Robert Miller, Mr. Luke Andruszewski, Mr. Urs Suess, Ms. Charlotte Pike, Ms. Emma Keens, and Ms. Mirianna Budimir are from the Southampton University Branch. Mr. Mark Turnbull is the branch master of the Sway Branch. Mr. Daniel Podobinski is from the Abbey Centre Branch.

Despite the rainy weather throughout the week colder than usual, everyone kept their motivation high enjoying each moment, and promised to come back to Japan with more friends from home.
































































































Before and after each day's practice, all the participants did "samu". WSKO members also joined this cleaning custom respectfully.
