March 16-19, 2009
Shorinji Kempo Spring Training Camp at Headquarters, Week D

Week D of the Shorinji Kempo Headquarters Spring Training Camp was held for 4 days from March 16th to 19th, 2009, attended by 424 students of 44 universities in Japan.

This camp week is the last one of the 2009 spring camps. WSKO President Yuuki So, who is also the chairperson of the Shorinji Kempo Group, attended the training camp to talk to the young university students to encourage them to have confidence to change themselves and believe their own potential.

Nearly 1,900 people participated in the 2009 Hombu Spring Training Camp from Week A through Week D, from 173 Japanese universities and 7 branches from other countries. Kenshi from different areas of the world gathered here and met each other, made friends making it hard to leave, with promises to meet again to practice Shorinji Kempo together.

People from the same dojo spent time together far longer than usual, sharing experiences and emotions, building stronger bonds.

The instructors themselves were once university students who attended Hombu Training Camps taught by Kaiso or his students on this very place. The tradition continues through the generations.
