Shorinji Kempo Summer Training Camp at Headquarters, Week A

Week A of the Shorinji Kempo Headquarters Summer Training Camp was held for 4 days from August 18th to 21st, 2009, attended by 356 Japanese university students of 30 branches, one from Brazil and one from France.

Mr. Evandro Schuster is the branch master of the Farroupilha Branch of Brazil, visiting Japan for the first time. Mr. Victor Harmant is from Budo Club D'Asniere Branch of France.














For this year's training camps, a program of group work practice was introduced to help the participants work together to solve problems. Not learning from the model answer given by the instructors, but finding the subject to work on for their own improvement and trying to find the solution together. In the group work practice, instructors are involved in multiple groups as advisors to help the students solve their own problems by occasionally giving advices.

WSKO kenshi also formed their group with Japanese students carrying communications in English and worked together for 4 days.
