Hombu Visit

-Kenshi from 5 countries visited Hombu-

On July 25th, 13 kenshi from 5 countries visited WSKO Hombu.

It was one of the days given annually when kenshi from Japanese doin and branches visit Hombu for a joint practice. This time around 500 kenshi and their family members visited Hombu from various areas of Japan.

The program of the day started with Chinkon-gyo at Hondo of Kongo Zen Sohonzan Shorinji, attended by all the participants. Japanese and non-Japanese kenshi enjoyed the lectures and technical practice in their rank groups taught by Hombu instructors.

After the day's program, a special practice session was given for the kenshi from overseas countries by WSKO Board Chairperson Tsunehiro Arai. WSKO Special Dan Grading was also conducted simultaneously with the program. Two examinees passed the 5th Dan test and one passed the 4th Dan test.
