2004 WSKO Northern European Regional Study Session
From Saturday, May 15th and Sunday, May 16th, 2004, the 2004 WSKO Northern European Regional Study Session was held in Karlstad, Sweden. Surrounded by forests and lakes in Sweden, the weather was fresh with new green leaves, and the study session was blessed with fine weather.
The three instructors sent were WSKO Board Member/Official Instructor Hiroshi Aosaka (Seihanshi 8th Dan), WSKO Board Member/Official Instructor Tameo Mizuno (Seihanshi 7th Dan), and WSKO Assistant Secretary-General Takashi So (Junhanshi 6th Dan).
On Friday, the day before the study session, special practice session was held for kenshi who arrived earlier. Participants showered the instructors with questions they have in their daily practice on and asked for advices.
To the study session held on 15th and 16th, not only from the 14 branches in Sweden and Finland but also from Germany and Canada, attended by 133 participants in total.
Technical lessons were given to three divided groups. Kenshi with 3rd Dan and above were taught by Mr. Aosaka, 1st and 2nd Dan Kenshi by Mr. Mizuno, and Kyu Kenshi were taught by Mr. So.
On the first day, Mr. Mizuno gave a lecture for half an hour regarding "ranking system and how we should train."
On the second day from 14:00, 14 members from the participants gave a public demonstration to show the achievement of their daily practice, which was enjoyed by the audience.
