Shorinji Kempo Summer Training Camp at Headquarters, Week B
Week B of the Shorinji Kempo Headquarters Summer Training Camp was held for 4 days from August 18 to 21, attended by 327 Kenshi from 25 branches in Japan, 5 from Spain, 2 from Indonesia, and 3 from Qatar. Nearly half of all the participants for this camp were female.

The five participants from the Las Palmas Branch, Spain, joined the Week B after participated in the Week A. Juan Clemente Gonzalez took the 4th Dan grading and successfully passed the test.

Elisabeth Prahmanawaty from Indonesia is one of the female 4th Dan holders rarely seen in Indonesian Federation that has the second largest number of members next to Japan. She is also one of the federation officers and serves as a judge at Taikai within the federation. Other than training techniques, it was also her purpose to see how the events in Japan are operated.
Deden Agung Batin Ego Justhon Tohir works for the Indonesian Federation. He learned Japanese while his training at Zenrin Gakuen last year, and he accompanied Elisabeth as an interpreter.
From the State of Qatar, Hadi Susilo, Muhammad Rifai, and Muhammad Djodi joined the camp. They belong to the Indonesian Federation, working in Qatar currently. They came to Japan for the first time for the camp, and took the grading tests for 3rd Dan and 2nd Dan respectively. They hope to establish the first branch in Qatar. The three kenshi respectively started Shorinji Kempo in Indonesia around 30 years ago in their local towns, met each other in Qatar they had moved in for their business, and resolved to work together to establish a branch. In Indonesia, kenshi keep friendly relationship like a family through Shorinji Kempo activities. The three talked passionately that they want to build such wonderful circles of people in Qatar they reside.
Before the closing ceremony on the last day of the camp, Dan Grading Certificates presentation ceremony were held and the Dan Certificates were handed to those who achieved new ranks by Tsunehiro Arai, President of the Shorinji Kempo Federation / WSKO Board Chairperson.
