2004 WSKO Oceania Regional Study Session
From Friday, November 12 to Sunday, November 14, 2004, the 2004 WSKO Oceania Regional Study Session was held in Gold Coast, Australia.

The instructors sent were WSKO Board Member/Official Instructor Yoshimasa Fujimoto (Seihanshi 8th Dan), WSKO Assistant Secretary-General Takashi So (Junhanshi 6th Dan), and WSKO Secretariat Staff Nobuyasu Kuramoto (Seikenshi 5th Dan).

This study session was attended by 59 people from 7 branches in Australia and New Zealand.
On 12th, the first day, the opening ceremony started at 13:30. After Chinkon-gyo, instructors and branch masters were introduced to the participants. On behalf of the dispatched instructors, WSKO Board Director Yoshimasa Fujimoto said to the participants "Please each of you try to make the study session successful to be remembered." Participants were then divided in groups of each ranch to perform kihon and practice techniques.

On the second day, in addition to the techniques sessions for all and in rank groups, Instructor Yoshimasa Fujimoto gave a lecture on "Significance of seeking a Way and value of traning". He talked about his own experiences in the World War II and Hanshin Great Earthquake, which interested the participants who refreshed their goals of traning in Shorinji Kempo.

On 14th, the 3rd day of the session, technical practice was followed by the closing ceremony, in which the representative of each participating group received training certificates. The study session closed officially there. However, volunteer embu meet was held and embu of rich in variety by participants were performed.

Australian Aboriginal music |
After all the embu were presented, Australian Aboriginal music was presented. Participating Japanese kenshi sang a famous Japanese song "Sukiyaki" together, in a very friendly atmosphere.
