For people's hearts and world peace
Shorinji Kempo is the path we should follow
This is the ability to live, the courage to be benevolent
Towards the realization of true strength and true benevolence
From the manji to double circles
Today we practice the art of Shorinji Kempo which was founded by Doshin So in Tadotsu, Kagawa-ken in Japan as an ascetic discipline (gyo) to develop people. Now that Shorinji Kempo is promoted in 32 countries worldwide, we have decided to establish the new unified mark and logo that express the established self and sympathy toward others, using a circle which a developed form of a manji, symbol of the spirit of Shorinji Kempo we have been with.
The two circles in the center express the ideas of self and others, strength and benevolence, spirit and body, heaven and earth, yin and yang. The 4 shields encompassing the circles represents the beliefs which we should protect of righteousness and the laws of truth.
The new mark and logo are both registered trade marks. Use of either of these without express permission is an infringement of trade mark law.
Use of either trademarks will only be granted on application and agreement to a detailed contract specifying usage.
We will give you how to make application on our website in March this year.
