September 2 - 5, 2003
2003 Shorinji Kempo Summer Training Camp at Headquarters, Week B

Week B of the 2003 Shorinji Kempo Federation Summer Training Camps at the Headquarters was held for four days from September 2nd to 5th.

It was attended by 433 Kenshi from 35 branches in Japan, as well as 4 Kenshi from Holland, 1 from New Zealand, and 1 from Ukraine.

This summer in Japan was unusually cool, especially in August when Tadotsu was hit by a typhoon that brought poor weather days. However, the weather had improved by the opening of the Training Camp Week B. The temperature reached nearly 35 degrees every day, making each dojo even hotter with heat.

At the Embu Demonstration, various styles of Embu were presented by WSKO Official Instructor Hajime Sawamura and other Hombu staff. Applications of different technical principles were introduced. Participants reaffirmed that different techniques are built on one same principle.
